Compassionate Pet Loss Support Services
Nobody wants to think about the day we have to say goodbye to our beloved pets.
When it does happen, there is help available.

Nobody wants to think about the day we have to say goodbye to our beloved pets.
When it does happen, there is help available.

Throughout my career, I have supported people through some of life’s most difficult moments. With a background in midwifery, funeral care and specialist bereavement midwifery, caring for those experiencing loss has always been at the heart of what I do.
Since 2022, I have also been running my own pet care business, Walkies with Elaine, providing dog walking and cat sitting services. Working closely with pets and their families inspired me to specialise in pet bereavement support, something I have been dedicated to since 2024.
I offer a safe, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings following the loss of a beloved pet. Every relationship with a pet is unique, and so is every experience of grief. Whether your loss is recent or happened some time ago, your feelings are valid and deserve to be heard.
Alongside my professional experience, I understand pet loss personally. I have experienced the heartbreak of saying goodbye to three much-loved dogs, and in 2023 we also lost one of my cherished Walkies with Elaine dogs. These experiences have deepened my understanding of the profound bond we share with our animals and the lasting impact their loss can have.
I am an Accredited Member of the Association of Pet Bereavement Counsellors and am committed to continuing my professional development. I am currently studying for an Advanced Diploma in Pet Bereavement Counselling with Living With Pet Bereavement, ensuring I continue to provide the highest standard of support.
Sadly, many people still feel that the grief of losing a pet is misunderstood or minimised. Pets are family, and their loss can be just as devastating as any other bereavement. No one should feel they have to grieve alone or that their loss is somehow less important.
Many people tell me they never knew this kind of support existed. My hope is not only to support those who need it, but also to help raise awareness that compassionate, specialist pet bereavement support is available.

Please see Frankie's website for her own personal blog on pet loss. Frankie offers wonderful pet photography sessions.
Frankie is a photographer based locally to me, here in North Cumbria. We met and instantly formed a bond over mutual love of pets.
Frankie offers sessions to those who have poorly and elderly pets as a celebration of life session. She and I both truly believe this can be done at any part of a pets life to capture their individuality perfectly.
These are my own dogs Ralph and Ada and Frankie made the session thoroughly enjoyable for all of us.
